Elizabeth M. Vela a native of McAllen, is an associate in Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez’s litigation section.
Betsy graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2014 with a B.A. in History. While attending Texas A&M, Betsy worked for Texas State Senator Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa. She then attended the University of Houston Law Center and graduated in May 2018. She was heavily involved with the law school’s juvenile justice programs and also worked in the general litigation division of a personal injury law firm.
Betsy is a member of the Hidalgo County Young Lawyers Association and of the Hidalgo County Bar Association. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section and the State Bar of Texas Women’s Bar Section.
Betsy is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, Texas.
