JOSEPH VALE is a partner with Atlas, Hall & Rodriguez, LLP, and began working with the firm in September 2012 shortly after taking the bar exam. He is board certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and he handles the firm’s appeals as well as providing trial and other litigation support. Joseph has represented clients in appeals and mandamus proceedings involving a broad array of legal issues in state and federal appellate courts.
Joseph was born in Arlington, Texas, but he grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and his family has deep roots in the region. In 2009, Joseph graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University with a bachelor of arts in political science and a minor in philosophy. Joseph is also a graduate of the Baylor Honors Program and is a fifth generation Baylor graduate. In 2012, Joseph graduated cum laude from the Baylor Law School. Joseph is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Joseph is a member and on the board of directors for the Hidalgo County Young Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Hidalgo County Bar Association and its appellate law section, the State Bar of Texas’s appellate and litigation sections, and the Bar Association of the Federal Fifth Circuit.
Joseph also volunteers for Hidalgo County’s Lawyers for Literacy and is a graduate of Leadership McAllen (Class XXXVI). He has also written and given presentations on topics for continuing legal education.
