Susan Sullivan is an AV Martindale Hubbell Preeminent rated attorney.  Susan is a litigator and has represented plaintiffs and defendants in civil suits throughout South Texas.  Her current areas of practice include the defense of personal and catastrophic injury, products liability, workers’ compensation, premise liability, transportation/trucking, employment and commercial litigation cases.  She has served in various leadership roles for the State Bar of Texas, including on the State Bar of Texas Committee on the Administration of Rules of Evidence and on the State Bar of Texas Committee on Texas Pattern Jury Charge: General Negligence; Intentional Personal Torts and Workers’ Compensation.  She is a proud member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and currently serves as the Rio Grande Valley Chapter’s National Representative.  Susan has also volunteered and served as a speaker at various continuing legal education seminars.

Susan graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.  She obtained her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas where she was a member of the National Order of the Barristers and the St. Mary’s Board of Advocates.  After graduating from law school, she moved to the Rio Grande Valley to work as the first female law clerk to the Honorable Filemon B. Vela, United States District Judge, Southern District of Texas, Brownsville, Texas.  Since leaving the court, she has practiced, almost exclusively, as a trial attorney for the defense bar in South Texas.
