  • Brent’s Biography

    Brent Bishop is a civil litigation attorney who joined the Firm in January 2015.

    He represents clients in state and federal courts and before arbitration tribunals. He has represented Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, closely-held business organizations, individuals, trusts, and trust beneficiaries in the following areas: a) commercial litigation b) banking litigation; c) oil and gas disputes; d) real estate litigation; e) probate and trust litigation; f) personal injury/wrongful death defense; and g) mass-torts defense. Prior work experience includes being associated with law firms based in Dallas and San Antonio, Texas.

    Brent moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1996 following his graduation from the University of Houston Law Center. Brent grew up and attended school in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona as his family moved throughout the Southwest with his father’s job on the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1993, Brent obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

    Brent is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. In 1986, Brent received the Eagle Scout Award through Troop 210 Ennis, Texas and the Lone Scout Program.

    Brent recently concluded a term as Chairman of the Local Advisory Committee of the Good Samaritan Community Services Organization and recently concluded a term on the Board of Trustees of the St. John’s Episcopal Church (McAllen, Texas) Foundation. He is currently a member of the Vestry of St. John’s Episcopal Church (McAllen, Texas).
